Your documents stay yours.
Legal teams trust Zen Legal with contracts, deeds and disputes. This page sets out where that data lives, who can see it and what is recorded.
How your data is handled
Stored in India
The application and your documents are hosted in Microsoft Azure's Central India region. Your files are not moved out of India for storage.
Not used for training
Your documents are used only to answer your own team's questions. They are never used to train models.
Access follows your structure
Every document is filed against a level of your organisation: group, entity, site, project or matter. People see what their role covers, and nothing else.
A full audit trail
Views, changes, approvals, exports and sign-ins are recorded with the person and the time, and admins can review them.
Consent recorded at sign-up
Everyone accepts the terms and the data-handling text when they create an account. We record which version they accepted, and ask again when it changes. Our handling is aligned with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Microsoft sign-in
Teams can sign in with their Microsoft work accounts, so access ends when someone leaves your directory. Email and password sign-in is also available.
Encrypted in transit
Every connection to Zen Legal uses HTTPS. Session cookies are secure and cannot be read by page scripts.
You decide who joins
Admins approve people who ask to join the organisation, assign roles and can remove access at any time.
Need more detail for your review?
If your security or procurement team has a questionnaire, send it to us and we'll answer it in writing.
The texts you accept at sign-up are public: read the Terms & Conditions and the data residency and data handling text.
